Kevin Durant is the best player in the NBA this season and he has been the reason why the Brooklyn Nets are off to a hot start. With Kyrie Irving out of the lineup and James Harden struggling, Durant has had to step up his play, and he has continued to be a shining light for the franchise. Having said that, one could argue that KD is making a solid MVP case this season, albeit, he has stiff competition in the likes of former teammate Steph Curry.

The worst possible thing that could happen to Durant and the Nets right now is an injury, although it seems like that scenario is playing out as we speak. Thankfully for the Nets, it doesn't appear to be that serious, at least for the time being.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Kevin Durant will have to miss the Nets' game tonight against the Orlando Magic, as he is suffering from a sprain to his right shoulder. For now, there is no timeline as to when Durant will return to the lineup, although for now, there is no indication that this is going to be a long-term injury.

This is still a developing story so stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates from the NBA world.
