Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Kevin Durant apparently receives a lot of criticism in his direct messages about how he could be a better basketball player. And he's fed up with it.

Durant addressed the situation on his instagram story last night, posting a message that reads, "Stop sliding in my DMs tellin me how to hoop, you’re trash, have a nice day.” KD provided the statement without context so it's unclear who, or whom, has been instructing the reigning NBA Finals MVP on what he should be doing out on the court but he made his point loud and clear.

It's worth noting, Durant, who made the All-Star team for the ninth consecutive season this year, is averaging 26.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. He seems to have a good idea of how to play the game of basketball.

KD and the Warriors were not in action last night but they still managed to clinch a playoff berth, thanks to the San Antonio Spurs' 109-93 win over the Houston Rockets. Golden State is currently sitting in second place in the Western Conference with a 51-16 record, just two games behind the Rockets. Houston holds the tiebreaker between the teams, having won the season series 2-1.
