KD could be back sooner than expected.
The Golden State Warriors currently hold a 2.5 game lead over the San Antonio Spurs atop the Western Conference standings with just 11 games remaining, and more help is right around the corner.
According to reports, Kevin Durant is on track to return before the end of the regular season given the progress he has made in recovering from a Grade 2 MCL sprain that he sustained back in February.
ESPN's Marc Stein says the Warriors are hopeful that he can return before the playoffs, thus giving KD ample time to get back in the groove before the Warriors get into the thick of the playoffs.
In Durant's absence, the Warriors have gone 7-5 which currently has them sitting at 57-14 on the year.
