Durant injured his right calf in Game 5 against the Houston Rockets.

For the first two rounds of the NBA Playoffs, Kevin Durant was easily one of if not the best player on the court. While Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Antetokoumpo are making valiant efforts to carry their teams, Durant was putting up numbers that seemed otherworldly. Unfortunately for the Warriors, that production came to a screeching halt in Game 5 of their series against the Houston Rockets as Durant suffered a right calf strain. Since then, Durant hasn't played a single second and has been busy rehabbing his leg.

So far, Durant has yet to play in the Western Conference Finals and won't be able to return for Game 2. ESPN's Ramona Shelburne was told by a source close to the team that Durant is "not close" to returning and will miss even more games. In the report, it states that Durant has not participated in anything basketball related which is typically the first step before a player can come back to the lineup.

Despite Durant's absence, the Warriors have been flawless as they eventually won games 5 and 6 against Houston. They also won Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers by a score of 116-94.

If the Warriors win again tonight, it's safe to say the squad will feel better about sitting Durant so he can be healthy for a potential run in the NBA Finals.
