To those familiar with Kev Rodgers, the New Jersey native's namesake is most recognized from behind the boards as he's had a major part in cultivating the sound coming out of South Jersey as he's credited with crafting the backdrops to tracks for area artists such as Kenif Muse and Mir Fontane. He even recently elevated his profile when he earned a credit as co-producer on Jaden Smith's "Icon" track.
Now Rodgers has stepped out from behind the scenes to deliver his latest self-produced single "Cool Bag," arriving as yet another demonstration of the rising talent's various layers.
"To me, 'Cool Bag' is just someone with a cool demeanor but got an edge to them," Kev shares of the title of the cut. "Like a Jordan shoulder shrug or Aaron Rodgers under pressure, you know? In the song, I'm talking about my life but having fun with it."
