Back in December, when we knew very little about Kendrick Lamar's follow-up to good kid, m.A.A.d city, his performance on the series finale of the Colbert Report seemed like a huge hint. While we assumed that the "untitled" song was a sure bet to land on the LP, when To Pimp A Butterfly finally arrived, it was strangely nowhere to be found.

Terrace Martin, who produced the majority of Kendrick's new album, has revealed to Complex that the song was never intended to exist outside of that performance. Martin described the song as "just a moment," adding that there is not even a scratch recording of the song out there. "It don't even exist nowhere in the world... except on the Colbert Report," he said.

Listen to the song (in the only form you'll ever hear it) below.
