Section.80 turns 5 this Saturday (stay tuned for Section.80-related content). The time is ripe to revisit the album, in particular "Rigamortis," one of the first instances in which Kendrick Lamar displayed bravado equal to his lyrical talents. With a distaste for other rappers he would later expanded upon in "Control," he condemns his rivals to a fate worse than death -- death at the hands of Kendrick Lamar. "Dead 'em all and especially, leave a call on his mother voicemail."

Producer Willie B interpolated a horn sample from Willie Jones' III (excellent!) "The Thorn"; Jones ended up suing Lamar and TDE for $1 million. This beat rides. Worth it.

Quotable Lyrics

I rapped him and made him Casper, I captured the likes of NASA
My pedigree to fly past ya, I pass the weed to the pastor
We all are sinners, won't you send us to bible study faster
Your hypocrite-esque reaction a blasphemy, I assassin my casualty
