The last we really saw of Kelly Rowland was when she so effortlessly graced the Coachella stage with her former Destiny's Child crew at this year's festival. "Coachella was so much fun. The best part was ‘the secret’, then seeing people’s reaction when it was such a surprise," The 37-year-old told Vogue Australia.
The songstress is living her best life in the land down under and for her latest feature, Kelly brings good news for fans alerting the media that she's working on new music. So far there are six tracks, but she's wanting five more to make her extremely personal album perfect.
“If I feel it or think it and it touches me in some way, then I think it’s going to do that to somebody else, too," she said. “It’s about love, loss and gain and whether it’s professional or with family or whatever, it’s just honest. I had no choice but to be honest and authentic with this record: it’s about friendship and marriage.”
Once Kelly is ready to leave Austalia and the influences and inspirations the ocean brings, she'll be heading back to Los Angeles to finish up her tape in a studio and add some collaborations. “I really enjoy getting new blood. And some have been in the game a long time. They are bringing fire. Serious fire. I’ve been working with Syd from The Internet on one record," she added.
