Kehlani Brings A Vintage Feel In The "Honey" Video

Kehlani's had a busy 2017 filled with ups and downs, both in her career and in her personal life. However, he music is always a reflection of her own life so she continuously drops honest and relatable music. Back in October, she dropped her acoustic single "Honey" and today, he drops off the official visuals for it.

Kehlani's latest video for "Honey" was directed by David Camarena, who's previously worked with E-40, Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign in the past. He brings a vintage vibe with a grainy film quality layered over many of the shots. Kehlani used the video as a means to express a strong message. On her Instagram page, she explained why she chose Aarianna Johnson as the leading lady of her video.

"this song was inspired by an androgynous woman, and I wanted to find someone who fell in line with that, who was “hard” yet so so soft (yes, like a bee). I was asked “why not use a feminine girl?” , but I knew I wanted to honor the inspiration, and paint the picture of the sweet tender aspect that shines through every woman, no matter what," she wrote on her Instagram.

It's a dope video that fits the vibe of the song very well.
