Trying to balance pregnancy and promoting a new album has not been an easy task for Katy Perry.
In an interview on Thursday (May 21), Katy Perry got honest about the difficulties of being with-child amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The pop sensation announced she was expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom back in March in a fertility-themed music video for Perry’s song “Never Worn White.”
The first time mom-to-be shared that she’s been spending quarantine with her fiancé Orlando Bloom and his 9-year old son from his previous relationship with Miranda Kerr, as well as her young nieces. The star also got candid about the struggles of being pregnant and working on promoting her fifth studio album amid stay-at-home orders.

Perry explained in the interview, “In the past, I’ve been a perfectionist slash control freak, and all perfectionist slash control freaks are spiraling right now. And planners are spiraling. So, I’m spiraling a little bit, like, every day. But I also chalk it up to the uncertainty of being pregnant for the first time and having a child and not knowing [the future]. Los Angeles just extended their stay-at-home [order] until maybe August, and I’m just like, ‘OK, I’m going to trust the professionals.’”
The couple revealed the gender of their child last month and shared that they’re expecting a baby girl due sometime this summer on Instagram.
