Melania Trump's officially addressed her husband Donald Trump's new anti-immigration crackdown that will effectively split family members apart.
"Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform," says Stephanie Grisham, the First Lady's spokeswoman. "She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs from the heart."
Melania originally hails from Slovenia, which could inform her oppositional stance towards these new proposed laws.
However, comedienne Kathy Griffin, who is particularly vocal about her disdain towards the president and his family, took to Twitter to denounce Melania's statement. "Fuck you, Melanie,” she wrote, misspelling the first lady’s name. "You know damn well your husband can end this immediately… you feckless complicit piece of shit."

Griffin's use of the word "feckless" directly references fellow-comedienne Samantha Bee, who recently called Ivanka Trump a "feckless c**t."
