Kareem "Biggs" Burke, who helped co-found Roc-A-Fella, has been charged with conspiring to distribute a large amount of marijuana.
More news of music industry execs heading to prison, this time its Roc-A-Fella founder Kareem "Biggs" Burke. Burke was a silent partner in founding Roc-A-Fella with Dame Dash & Jay-Z in the '90s, and helped it rise to fame.
Kareem Burke has been sentenced to five years in prison for his conspiring to distribute more than 100 kilos of marijuana. He was supposedly involved in a large marijuana distribution operation, which had links to Florida, California and New York.
Burke, 38 years old, was caught by a federal drug stint called "Operation Green Venom," which "targeted a trafficking ring that controlled most of the wholesale pot market in the city."
