The situation may have temporarily looked grim, but songs called "Raise The Roof" have yet to fade into obscurity. The preservation efforts of 2017 XXL Freshman Kap G have played a pivotal role in such efforts, and he should be thanked accordingly. Now, Kap has linked up with Ty Dolla $ign for a muted banger, in which stacking the money to roof-level heights is the mission statement. The song itself goes hard without forcing its way through the door, a perfect backdrop for Ty Dolla and Kap G's uptempo lyricism.

I can't be sure, but "Raise The Roof" does feel like one of those instrumentals that ambiguously samples Donkey Kong 2; the jury is still out on that one. Either way, there's something hypnotic about the arrangement, especially when the DK synth rolls through a la Diddy Kong mid cartwheel. Lyrically, both parties serve worthy contributions, with Kap flexing on his new and improved lifestyle. Peep the single below, and sound off; are ya'll feeling this?

Quotable Lyrics

I just came up on a pot of gold, oh
Met the lil bitch at a Papadeaux, oh
Tell her "gimme top then you gotta go"
Told her don't stop, make it rapido
Money on the way, yeah I gotta go
