The inaugural Meadows Music and Arts Festival will take place in Queens this October.
The same company that produces Governor's Ball has announced that the first annual Meadows Music and Arts Festival will take place in Queens, New York on October 1st and 2nd.
Hip hop acts include Kanye West, The Weeknd, Chance The Rapper, Bryson Tiller, Mac Miller, Pusha T, Post Malone, and Queens native Bas. Other of acts of potential interest to hip hop fans include , Kygo, Chromeo, Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, ZHU, and Kamasi Washington. The festival lineup also includes two unannounced guest. Remember that the Governor's Ball surprise special guest turned to be the supergroup Prophets of Rage, comprised of members of Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, and Rage Against the Machine.
Meadows marks The Weeknd's only NYC-area show of 2016. Kanye was scheduled to close out Gov Ball until the third day of the festival was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Pre-sale goes live Wednesday, June 22 at 11 AM EST. General tickets go on sale Thursday, June 23 at 11 AM EST.
