In an interview with BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac, Kanye West recanted a conversation he had with the CEO of the budget shoe purveyor and his dreams of creating a $30 Adidas Yeezy sneaker.
During the sneaker portion of the interview [fast forward to 11:40], Kanye says:
"I'm going to adidas and I'm like, 'Adidas, I know you've never made a shoe under $50, but we have to make a shoe that costs $30 USD. And I'm gonna wear it–it's gonna be the coolest shoe of all. To me, this thing I'm saying is the thing I'm most excited about of anything I've ever done."
One thing's for sure, if Kanye does produce a $30 sneaker and he does wear it around, it will definitely be a sellout sneaker no matter what it looks like. Until that time comes, you can enjoy paying $200 at retail for the Yeezy Boost 350- if you're lucky enough to get your hands on a pair- and thousands of dollars on the secondary market.
