On both platforms, @kanyewest leads to a variation of the "sorry, account not available" post. Nobody seems to know why, and Kanye himself has yet to comment. Even if he did issue a statement, where would he do it?
While this type of move has been known to occur from time to time, the motivations behind the social media purge are often unknown. Could it be an impulsive, fuck-the-world move? Maybe he got tired of negativity, or simply wanted to further remove himself from the public spotlight. Maybe there's a new album coming and this is all a publicity stunt. Honestly, it's hard to tell with Kanye, especially these days.
