We’re some months removed from Kamaiyah’s Before I Wake mixtape, the first of two projects that will precede the arrival of her major studio debut. We’re still riding the wave of that effort and this weekend the West Coast emcee has returned with the visuals for the mixtape's “Dope Bitch” track.
Shot in a nostalgic VHS, the new clip appropriately follows the Interscope signee as she is surrounding by an affirming posse of women that includes singer Keyshia Cole while riding in the back of a Jeep through her native Oakland as she details her come-up with a signature delivery draped in a calm and cool attitude as she unleashes, “I came a long way from jumping in windows for bags / From scamming out ya momma for info and cash / Now I'm bossed up get ten G's a rap.”
Currently, we’re awaiting the arrival of Kamaiyah’s Woke mixtape.
