K. Forest is a rising crooner out of Brampton, a suburb of Toronto. He has been cultivating his soaring vocals for years, but he can also spit a few bars, and does so on his sophomore full-length project Forest Fire.
Featuring production exclusively from K. Forest’s close collaborator dF, the project has a cohesive sound and a varied collection of tracks. He traverses familiar terrain in the lyrics, but does so in a way that’s personal and original sounding. He wears his influences plainly, sampling and featuring Aaliyah on a number of tracks. Other than that, he has only two features on the entire project, Pro Era’s CJ Fly and fellow Brampton artist Jaiden.
