Just Luu, the Toronto rapper formerly known as Luu Breeze, is back today after dropping off "Cowabunga" the other month and introducing his new name.
Luu sent over this new record, "Run Up," and shed some light on why he decided to go by Just Luu. "What inspired the name change was I just wanted a fresh start musically from the old music that people knew me for," Luu says of the new moniker. "The new sound has a lot more harmonies and melodies involved as to me just strictly rapping. Luu Breeze was me as a rapper, Just Luu is me as an artist student becoming a teacher basically..."
That new sound he was describing is definitely on display here, as he weaves his own harmonies into the static-laden beat. Are you feeling the new Luu?
