SNL is still regarded as an institution where contentious issues get worked over in a less-than pretentious manner. Just last night, they made a mockery out of the current climate of litigation in America, where lawyers can achieve the same level of fame and notoriety as their celebrity clients.

Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live consisted of a "Shark Tank parody" where the presumed panel of venture capitalists was overturned to make way for a committee of high profile attorneys: Pete Davidson as Michael Avenatti (R. Kelly trial), John Mulaney as Alan Dershowitz (representing Trump), Cecily Strong as Jeanine Pirro (pro-Trump political pundit), and Kate McKinnon as Rudy Giuliani, who needs little introduction.

Together, they combine to form a Shark Tank-like consultancy, where a host of character walked in seeking advice. "If you pick me, I will happily go on TV, contradict everything you’ve ever said and then add some additional damaging information free of charge,” McKinnon’s Giuliani character said to an ailing Robert Kraft, played by comedian Beck Bennett.

The comedy bit closes with Jussie Smollett (played by Chris Redd) walking onset claiming he'd just been attacking by a rabid Donald Trump. Moments before that, Michael Avenatti could be heard muttering Michael Jackson "Beat It" to his neighboring panelist. You can stream the whole thing below.
