Baton Rouge native, Lil Boosie, aka Torrence Hatch, was convicted of murder and the jury selection for his trial begins today.
The jury selection has begun for rapper Lil Boosie's murder trial. Lil Boosie was found guilty of first-degree murder of Terry Boyd.
As the Advocate reports, around 150 residents of East Baton Rouge Parish will appear at the 19th Judicial District Courthouse for possible jury selection.
It will be an anonymous jury, meaning 12 jurors and any alternate jurors will only be identified in court and in court documents by number. The security in the courtroom will also be severe.
Lil Boosie is not facing the death penalty, but he could be sentenced to life in prison if he is convicted.
