Juice WRLD is having himself quite the year. Twelve months ago, barely anybody knew his name. Now, he's got one of the biggest songs of the entire year and he's seen as one of the most prominent up-and-comers in the game. He's even gotten Michael Jackson comparisons by his Chicago peers, which may be a stretch but it says a lot when considering how big he is in his city. His rise happened through the major push that songs like "Lucid Dreams" got and backed by videographer Cole Bennett, he's able to put out memorable content on a regular basis. His latest track, "Armed & Dangerous" is accompanied by a Bennett-directed music video, as usual, as Juice continues to prove his worth.
The last time we heard the Chicago rapper was in August when Travis Scott's Astroworld was released but the young star is back with his newest single. Hitting SoundCloud and YouTube, Juice WRLD released "Armed & Dangerous," a song that recalls the vibe of his debut album Goodbye & Good Riddance. This cut would fit in nicely alongside his more party-friendly joints as he sings about how he has no need to hire a bodyguard since he's got the stick on him at all times.
This is probably the first time we see Juice smiling in a video, which is a nice change considering the lyrical content from his previous effort. Perhaps this is a sign that we'll be getting a more joyful Juice WRLD in his next project.
