"Solo Dolo" is the latest offering from Migos affiliate and QC The Label representative Jose Guapo, and is a collaboration with producer Shawty Fresh, emcee Young Mazi and the late OTF Nunu, who was shot and killed last night while sitting in an SUV in a strip mall parking lot in Chicago (he was 21).
For those unaware, Nunu was Lil Durk's cousin, having appeared in the video for his new track "OC" not four days ago, his verse including such lines as "these guns, they burn like Usher" and "blowin' that TEC like a ref with a whistle." He was also preparing to release a mixtape titled Nuski Got Da Strap this summer.Â
Unfortunately, the release of "Solo Dolo"Â probably won't help matters much, given the trap-oriented tone and subject matter. Let us know what you think, though.Â
Our sincerest condolences go out to Nunu's family, friends and collaborators. May he rest in peace.
(The last we heard of Jose Guap was the late-April, Offset-assisted single "Fishtail," which you can listen to here if you missed it. He's currently putting the finishing touches on a new mixtape titled Cash Talk Part 4, so stay tuned for that, and keep up with him via Twitter in the meantime: @JoseGuapo.)
