If you’re unfamiliar, Jorja Smith is a fast-rising 20-year old singer from England who got her big break earlier this year when Drake put on her his More Life playlist, giving her own “Jorja’s Interlude” and featuring her on “Get It Together.” Since then, she has continued to build a name for herself releasing songs like “Beautiful Little Fools,” “Teenage Fantasy,” & most recently “On My Mind” with Preditah which dropped last week and now receives the visual treatment.
Directed by Hector Dockrill, the simplistic video finds Jorja posted up & kicking it with the famous mockumentary, British pirate radio Kurupt FM. Here’s what she had to say about the video…
"Even though it wasn't shot in Walsall, the video gave me a very nostalgic feel of being at home," Jorja said about the video "It reminded me of times spent chilling in my friend's flat. We all had such a fun day shooting, the video reflects the mood of the song. Very alive.”
"Me and Jorja pretty much have the same musical tastes," Preditah added. "The track is uptempo and bubbly which is what I specialize in, and it also has soul and meaning which is what Jorja specializes in.”
