Stone's Throw emcee/producer Jonwayne's "The Desert" is the latest instalment in BBC Radio personality Annie Mac's "Free Music Mondays" series, featuring his frequent collaborator Oliver The 2nd on the assist. The cut is unconventional, to say the least.

Can you dig it?

"The Desert" is Jon's first official track since the release of last year's Rap Album One project, which you can purchase via iTunes here. He'll be embarking on a monthlong tour of Europe throughout April, the details of which you can find here. Stay tuned, and hit those involved with a follow on Twitter in the meantime: @JonWayne / @OliverThe2nd / @AnnieMac.

Quotable Lyrics

Walk in the desert 'til my bones on the earth
Scraping the dirt, my cold heart was taken by worms
Looking for old passages of sanskrit to burn
So I can keep my dick in the sun and out the urn
I only wanted my hands to be steady
When I hold the knife close to my chest it gets heavy
As my breath, dense as glass
Fear sees my brain behind the chain-link
But it's all past me, think 'til I'm past the brink
If I last, put fire on that ass like a gaseous leak
