In recent times, the phrase "Crooked Hillary," a nickname coined by presidential candidate Donald Trump, has seeped into the public consciousness among Republicans and Democrats alike. Even many of those voting for Hillary feel that their candidate is kind of corrupt and probably lies to the public often. And Republicans want her in prison.
John Oliver, host of the Emmy-winning television show "Last Week Tonight," is well aware of this dichotomy, and is frankly unwilling to let this type of double-standard tomfoolery go on any longer. That's because Hillary's opponent Donald Trump is by all accounts exponentially more corrupt and dishonest than Clinton.
