John Legend liberates his new single "Penthouse Floor" feat. Chance the Rapper, off his upcoming album "Darkness & Light."

John Legend is gearing up for the release of his fifth studio album Darkness and Light on December 2nd. This afternoon, he debuted a new song "Penthouse Floor" feat. Chance the Rapper on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show. Organized around a saucy bassline possibly inspired by the theme of Duke Ellington's "A Single Petal of a Rose," "Penthouse Floor" is inspired by sex that cannot wait for the bedroom. Chance appears briefly to lighten the mood before the listener returns to Legend's penthouse.

Legend already has one potential Darkness and Light hit in "Love Me Now." Does he have another in "Penthouse Floor"?

Quotable Lyrics

Hand-picked from bad apples and bad eggs
Held back, I had to grab crab legs
And then there were only but a few
Conversations, avocations, with a party, with a view
