The cause of John Cena and Nikki Bella's break-up is still up in the air but it could have something to do with Cena's seemingly controlling ways. You'll recall John made his girlfriend sign a 75-page contract before moving into his home, detailing an extensive list of house rules. As one of the most famous WWE wrestlers in the history of the promotion, Cena has been the company's selling point for years. With the WWE now attempting to move into a new phase as Cena nears 20 years in the game, he seeks personal redemption following his split from longtime girlfriend Nikki Bella.
Last month, it was revealed that the couple had terminated their engagement and ended their six-year relationship and shortly after, details of their relationship began to break out. While the reason for their split is still unclear, John is very much open to rekindling his romance with Nikki and his tweet from earlier today seems to be referring to his ex-fiancée. The WWE star tweeted, "Lack of communication is many times what causes people to drift apart, lack of forgiveness is many times what causes people to stay apart." Many of his fans are speculating that he is referring to Nikki in this message, hoping that she will forgive him in order for the pair to continue to work on their relationship.
While they may get back together some time in the future, it is unlikely for the wrestling couple to date anytime soon as Bella refused her ex's request to rekindle their romance just days ago.
