Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era crew have been strong on the come-up, but it hasn't been an easy road. Over Christmas, Joey lost one of his best friends and Pro Era crew member, Capital Steez. The details of his death are still unclear, but Joey Bada$$ recently spoke to Sway In The Morning briefly about it, and confirmed that 19-year-old Steez did take his own life.
Joey Bada$$ has not spoken much on the loss of his group member, but when Sway asked how Joey has been doing since Capital Steez' passing, Joey said, "I've been trying my best, I've been trying not to get too lost in my thoughts and everything, 'cause it truly hurts, loosing a brother,a best friend...It hurts a lot."
The young New York rapper also spoke on the cause of Steez' death, "It was self-inflicted," he said.
