In the past month, we've heard of the devastating hurricanes that have left many people without food, clothes and shelter in the Caribbean, Texas and Florida. The impact of both Hurricane Irma and Harvey created several charitable initiatives to help those affected. Last week, some of the biggest faces and names in entertainment got together for the Hand In Hand telethon that raised $44 Million. Today, Joey Badass and Pro Era announced they'll be holding their own charitable drive for the cause.

Joey Bada$$ posted the "Storm of Support" flyer on his Instagram with a caption that read, "This Saturday I will be hosting a drive for hurricane victims in Brooklyn. We will be making two stops picking up donations and supplies before ending at Borough Hall where we will have a thank you party hosted by PRO ERA and special guests. NYC I look forward to showing our brother and sister cities how we can come together in support of them. All we need is love and unity. Much love, see ya Saturday!"

The Brooklyn crew will be setting up three locations on Saturday where they will personally be accepting donations and supplies. The crew will be accepting clothes, hygienic product, toiletries, food and household items throughout the day. The first location will be at East River State Park from 1pm to 2pm before setting up at their next location at Forte Green Park from 2-3pm. The final location will be at Brooklyn Borough Hall for a thank you party where they will continue to accept donations. Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era have teamed up with the venue for the party. The event will be all ages as well and will take place from 6-9pm. The flyer says that "Everyone who donates will receive a wristband that will grant them access to a thank you party hosted by Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era."

The effects of the hurricanes hit close to home for Joey and the rest of the crew. The majority of Pro Era are of West Indian descent and many of them still have family living their.
