Joey Bada$$ released his debut album, B4.DA.$$, earlier this year, and it was exactly what fans asked for -- a well-crafted slice of 90 boom-bap-influenced rap. Judging by his recent studio sessions, it seems Joey might be moving away from that sound on his new material, revealing some surprising new collaborators on Instagram.

Lil Herb, one of Chicago's most promising young street rappers is pictured in the lab with Joey, as is Atlanta trap MVP, Metro Boomin. They aren't the first guys you'd assume to hear on a track with Bada$$, but you certainly can't go wrong with either one of them.

There's been no official word on an upcoming project, and releasing his debut in January, we don't think we'll see another LP this side of 2015, but we wouldn't count out some kind of mixtape.
