Philadelphia Sixers big man Joel Embiid is one of the most entertaining athletes to follow on social media, whether he's courting Rihanna, recruiting NBA stars to "Trust The Process," or simply interacting with fans and commenting on current sporting events.
So of course Embiid took the opportunity to troll Kevin Durant about his recent twitter folly. He even tagged @QuireSultan, which is allegedly the handle of Kevin Durant's secret Instagram account.
Charlotte Hornets forward, Frank Kaminsky and ESPN personality Jemele Hill also chimed in.
Durant has been accused of managing secret burner accounts on social media after he, or someone who manages his official twitter account, mistakenly sent out some tweets regarding his former Thunder teammates and head coach. On Sunday night, a twitter user asked Durant to give "one legitimate reason for leaving OKC other than getting a championship," to which @KDTrey5 responded,
“He didn’t like the organization or playing for Billy Donovan. His roster wasn’t that good, it was just him and Russ.”
“Imagine taking Russ off that team. See how bad they were. KD can’t win a championship with those cats.”
Although the tweets were quickly deleted, the screen shots were already saved and speculation began regarding KD's use of secret social media accounts to defend himself.
Not long after that, more evidence surfaced suggesting Durant uses a secret Instagram account, which goes by the name @QuireSultan. Ironically, as pointed out by NBA Reddit, Quire and Sultan are the names of two streets nearby where Kevin Durant grew up in Maryland.
