Sources have confirmed that Joe Jackson, the father of Janet and Michael, is currently being hospitalized with terminal cancer. However, the 89-year-old reportedly sent out a rather allegorical tweet alluding to his degenerating health, and openly accepting his impending demise. The prophetic post features Jackson staring at a sunset with a caption that reads: "I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see. The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes."

Shortly afterwards, Paris Jackson took to Twitter to question the validity of this affecting sentiment. She does acknowledge how "this is a beautiful tweet," before divulging how "it upsets me to see whoever is in charge of this account taking advantage of it. my grandfather did not tweet this. I’m not sure if he’s ever used this account."

Jackson's social media presence is mostly promotional, save for some photographs with other celebrities such as Queen Latifah.

Over the weekend, Janet Jackson graced the stage at the Radio Disney Awards whilst accepting the Impact Award. The 52-year-old music icon is the first recipient of the newly-minted accolade, and used her acceptance speech to shower her family with praise. "My mother nourished me with the most extravagant love imaginable. My father — my incredible father — drove me to be the best that I can. My siblings set an incredibly high standard for artistic excellence … Sometimes, having an impact can be as simple as a smile, a handshake, or a hug."
