After a short battle with terminal cancer, TMZ is reporting that famed music manager and Michael Jackson's father has passed away at the age of 89. The publication cites a family source, saying that the legendary patriarch of the Jackson family died at 3:30 AM on Wednesday morning.
A few days ago, a cryptic tweet was sent out from Jackson's Twitter account alluding to his impending death and, while Paris Jackson insisted that he was not the man behind the post, it seems as though Joe knew he only had a short amount of time left on Earth. According to TMZ, many of Joe's family members had flocked to his bedside, including his wife Katherine and several of his children.
Daughter Janet Jackson commented on his condition, deeming him "incredible" despite all of the controversies he has been wrapped up in during his lifetime. With the news of his death, the man leaves behind a strong legacy, building his children to become absolute stars in the music business and significantly grooming Michael Jackson to be the "King of Pop."
Jackson's terminal cancer diagnosis was only announced a few days ago and although his passing is shocking, he has been suffering from health issues for years.
