Reebok Classic recently launched their "Alter The Icons" Spring/Summer '19 collection with the help of J.I.D, Childish Major, Rejjie Snow, Tayla Parx & others.

As part of the SS19 campaign, Reebok has today unveiled a new short film starring J.I.D., which brings the viewer inside the artist’s personal spaces through docu-style shots and J.I.D.’s candid narration.

From the meaning behind his name to the intimate role Atlanta plays in his music, the video explores J.I.D’s influences, inspirations and his individual vision of authenticity.

“My style is probably an accumulation of different crazy ideas I came up with,” he says. “I’m super inspired by the old-school. You have to take the authenticity of what they already created and reflect it in your own.”

In the video, J.I.D reveals that his grandmother used to call him “jittery,” but it sounded like it was spelled with a j-i-d due to her Southern accent, which ultimately led to his stage name.
