From the meaning behind his name to the intimate role Atlanta plays in his music, the video explores J.I.D’s influences, inspirations and his individual vision of authenticity.

“My style is probably an accumulation of different crazy ideas I came up with,” he says. “I’m super inspired by the old-school. You have to take the authenticity of what they already created and reflect it in your own.”

In the video, J.I.D reveals that his grandmother used to call him “jittery,” but it sounded like it was spelled with a j-i-d due to her Southern accent, which ultimately led to his stage name.

Check out the footage below.

Reebok Classic's all-new Alter the Icons SS19 collection includes special colorways of the Workout Plus and Classic Leather, offered in men's, women's and kids sizes, as well as hoodies and joggers.

The full collection is available now on Reebok.com, as well as in-store and online through the Foot Locker family of brands.
