Jhene Aiko and her boo Big Sean are all good now. Not that it really mattered before, since the two artists linked up when Jhene was still married to Dot Da Genius, but now there are reports that things have finally settled.
Jhene was married to Dot for 11 months and TMZ reports that their divorce settlement has come to an end. Things were easier than usual since the two don't share children and there is no spousal support needed.
In some since-deleted tweets that we still have proof of, Jhene spoke out about Dot and gave a glimpse into their marriage calling the producer a "victim."
"He jumped the ship a long time ago. He wants to be the victim and I'll let his bitchass assume the role."
Another deleted tweet said, "I only cheated myself. so glad to be free from all the drugs, depression and confrontation." Adding, "Never let a man disrespect u in any way. major key."
Jhene is just coming off the release of her album Trip that boasts 22-tracks that reflect all types of psychedelic feels.
“This year, I just really want to show every side of me, really dive into who I am […] I’m getting older and I feel like I’m more in tune with who I am and less afraid to express every side of myself,” the 29-year-old singer explained on the Breakfast Club. “[The album is] inspired by every type of trip you could imagine: mental, physical, even psychedelic. I’m at a point where I put it all in the music. It’s a puzzle I want people to put together.”
The album is also a reflection on Jhene's journey to finding herself since the tragic passing of her brother, Miyagi, in 2012.
“My brother and I were very close. We were only two years apart,” she said in a press release. “I never thought of him as a separate person, but an extension of myself. He was my reflection. In his presence I was confident and always so sure.”
