According to an official release from the Press of Atlantic City, the doors of Jay-Z, Desiree Gonzalez and Juan Perez's 40/40 club in Atlantic City have closed forever. The decision was apparently made in October after it was severly damaged by water during Hurricane Sandy (the lease had also ended). The location opened on October 25, 2005.

It's all good, though. The first 40/40 Club opened at 6 West 25th Street in New York on June 18th, 2003 and is still going strong, and another opened at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn last year. We're pretty sure Jay's doing alright.
