The Roc Nation brand supremacy continues to grow as Jay-Z is said to be close to closing a deal with Samsung that would net him nearly $20 million.
After leaving NBA ownership to pursue the lucrative career in sports agency, he is now adding a huge contract with Samsung Mobile. According to Page Six, “the contract is said to be worth as much as $20 million.”
Early reports, that are only speculation at this time think that Jigga would look to enter the music-streaming game, that would rival Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s Daisy subscription service which is dropping soon, “You can speculate that he’l l want to develop some kind of new music-streaming service to promote his acts and music on mobile devices.”
Although the eight figures is a nice incentive, it seems that the Brooklynite is using the opportunity to expand the reach of his brand as he continues to sign more artists.
