It’s been three years since Jay Rock last dropped off his album 90059, but it appears the Watts spitter is getting ready to hit us with his next body of work soon. Last month, TDE’s CEO Top Dawg hinted that Jay Rock was readying his new album when he shared a photo of him in the studio, captioning the photo “New music and album coming soon,” and now we finally have the first taste of what he’s been cooking up. At the stroke of midnight, Jay Rock released a new single called “Win,” which will presumably see life on his forthcoming album, Redemption.
Over some triumphant horns and trumpets by Vinylz & CT, Jay Rock delivers an anthemic banger that finds him showing off his slick wordplay & rapping about being a true “winner' in the rap game. There's even some ad-libs from Kendrick Lamar throughout the record that give it some added TDE flavor.
