Currently sitting at No. 5 on Billboard’s Adult R&B airplay charts, Janet Jackson’s “No Sleep” single is getting a major upgrade thanks to J. Cole. Reportedly meant to be rolled out across the airwaves tomorrow, July 23, Real 92.3 LA was able to get their hands on the remix a few hours early and premiere it tonight for our listening pleasure.
Giving the sultry single a face lift, J Cole spits a charismatic verse about “friends with benefits” and even references Janet’s brother in the process, “Butterflies like MJ”. According to Billboard, the remix of “No Sleeep” was reportedly recorded in Los Angeles two weeks ago, and will appear on Janet’s upcoming album, which is looking at a September release date.
