Janelle Monae was enlisted by E! to create a track for their red carpet soundtrack during tonight's Oscars. Just as the Oscars are getting underway, we're treated to Janelle's track "Simply Irresitible", which is a cover of Robert Palmer's 1988 hit.
This song will appear on E!'s "Live from the Red Carpet 2014" soundtrack. Are you digging the cover? Janelle tweeted about it as soon as she heard it live, "Ha! just heard @wondaland 's and my version of "simply irresistible" on E! #oscars #redcarpet :)"
We haven't heard from the singer since her "Electric Lady" remix with Big Boi, Cee-Lo Green and Solange, back in September.
