Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has reportedly reached a settlement with the woman known as "Kate P," who claims he groped her in her Uber vehicle back in March of 2016. According to ESPN, the "parties are in the process of finalizing a settlement agreement" and it is believed that the process will conclude in about 10 days.

The alleged incident first surfaced in November 2017, after Buzzfeed published a report detailing Kate P's allegations. According to the report, Kate says she picked up Winston and some friends in Scottsdale, Arizona at around 2am in March of 2016, and the Bucs QB hopped in the front seat.

While waiting in line at the drive-thru of Los Betos Mexican Food, Jameis allegedly reached over, grabbed her crotch and "held his hand there for three to five seconds" and removed it only after she looked up in shock and said, “What’s up with that?”

“I wasn't just creeped out. I was frozen.” She described Winston as “very physically imposing.”

“I mean he's an NFL quarterback and I’m 5 ft 6. I’m not prepared for that. So I completely froze.”

Winston denied touching the woman inappropriately, but an eight-month NFL investigation concluded that he engaged in detrimental conduct that night by "touching the driver in an inappropriate and sexual manner without her consent and that disciplinary action was necessary and appropriate."

As a result, he served a three-game suspension to start the season, costing him $124,411 in game checks.
