Jada surprised us last night with a collab with Future, "You Can See," and he's now back with another exciting collab, "Ain't Nothin New," featuring two artists who we haven't heard in quite some time, Ne-Yo and Nipsey Hussle. In fact, the track is Nipsey's third appearance all year, following features on Chinx's Welcome to JFK and Trae the Truth's Tha Truth.
Though Nip's verse is a short one, his hoarse street rapping goes nicely alongside Jada's deeper, steadier flows. Ne-Yo sounds like a true vet over the classic New York production, and he'd do well to ditch more chart-ready collabs and reintegrate himself as an OG in the hip-hop game.
This sound "Ain't Nothin New" for Jada, but it certainly deserves a spot next to the more experimental collabs that we'll hear on Top 5 Dead or Alive, which drops on November 20.
