If you're a big fan of Kodak Black, you're probably familiar with his collaborator JackBoy, who worked with Kodak on singles like "To Fly" "Run My Check Up." Today, Jackboy releases a solo single that proves he can handle his own, as he proves his melodic sensibility on a record that starts hooky on its verse before moving into an undeniable melody on the chorus. JackBoy definitely sounds a bit like his Kodak at moments, but overall, he's able to slip into a slicker singing voice that allows him to really stick the landing of the catchy refrain. His Stick Up Kid mixtape is available now.

Quotable Lyrics:

Do you wrong but I beat it right
In my zone going strong all night
Hot head out the hood
Was doin' bad just to live good
Ain't it funny how they up and left
Funny how they back
When they heard I'm next
