After spending sometime at the Cash Money house, it looks like upstart J-Soul is back on his independent wave. While either camp offers no clarification as to why he may have parted ways with Birdman’s imprint, the Toronto native has been steadily pushing out a consistent stream of new music to hold fans over. After coming through with his L.I.S.A. (Love, Insecurity, Sex, Addiction) project back in November of last year, he delivered the goods with his “Mod Ting” single this year.
Now, he’s back with his latest “Love Me.” True to his natural form, the new track settles into a mid-tempo sweet spot that echoes the familiar soundscapes of J-Soul’s catalog as he yearns for affection in a new tune signed, sealed, and delivered just in time for the summer season.
