J. Cole Makes Billboard Hot 100 History As Three Songs Debut In The Top 10

J. Cole proved just how big of a star he is with the release of K.O.D. The album was announced only a few days before it's release but built as much hype as an album that was being promoted for four months straight. The album's been doing numbers. He managed to mark the biggest opening week for an album in 2018 by moving 397K equivalent album units in it's first week and debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. It also marked his fifth number one album in the charts. However, that's not the biggest thing the album has done for him so far.

J. Cole has made Billboard history as the first artist to debut three songs in the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. K.O.D tracks "ATM," "Kevin's Heart" and the title track are sitting at 6, 8 and 10, respectively. Along with being the first artist to debut three titles on the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously, with the release of Ariana Grande's new single, they mark the first time four songs have debuted in the Hot 100 top 10 in the 59 year history.

Aside from Cole's accomplishments, the top spots on the charts currently belong to Drake, again. "Nice For What" holds the top position on the charts while "God's Plan" continues to hold the number two spot for a third week in a row.
