Rumors of J. Cole’s comeback have been picking up a lot momentum over the past couple of days hours after the North Carolina rapper decided to wipe his entire Instagram page clear on Monday morning, and add the color purple to his main image, alluding to the fact that a new album might be right around the corner. In addition to the marketing strategy, Cole also tweeted out the words “its time” on Monday, before announcing he was doing a free show in NYC Monday night for the fans. Well it turns out Monday night's concert was him playing his entire new album, and announcing the title to it called K.O.D.

According to RapRadar’s Bdot Miller, who was in attendance at tonight’s free show, K.O.D stands for three different acronyms…. “Kidz On Drugz, King Overdose, & Kill Our Demonz.”

B. Dot tweeted the title out Monday night, adding that Cole recorded the project in “two weeks” and that he played the entire album for fans at the show Monday night, which he believed to be about 12 songs in total. B. Dot also said he heard Cole experimenting with his flow more on this project as well.

Shortly after B.Dot revealed this info, J. Cole himself hopped on Twitter and confirmed that K.O.D is dropping this FRIDAY, 4/20!!

Check out the tweets (below) and keep it posted for further information as it surfaces. Who's excited to hear Cole's new album in 4 days?
