Next week, J. Cole will be sharing his new album, entitled 2014 Forest Hills Drive, but before that, he's opted to share a freestyle. Bearing the same title as the upcoming album, "2014 Forest Hills Drive Freestyle" was produced by Talen Ted and shared via his SoundCloud.

Spitting over a jazzy, clip-clopping instrumental, J. Cole raps with a ton of reverb on his vocals, indicating that this was probably recorded in an atypical fashion. Another hint of this is found in what sounds like ambient noise from a pool game occurring in the background. That being said, Cole's lyrics are strong as ever.

Quotable Lyrics

I'm from a city where niggas hold glocks
Leave you lookin' like old socks
Cops patrol blocks plottin' on us
Them boys is rotten, I know they want us
Probably arrest a nigga, get a bonus
Kill a nigga, get promoted
