James Harden and Adidas should be unveiling his second signature sneaker sometime before the NBA season kicks off less than one month from now, but it looks like early images of the Adidas Harden Vol. 2 have already surfaced.

The kicks in question were first posted to twitter and later shared via the always reliable Japanese sneaker website US11, adding even more belief that these are in fact the Adidas Harden Vol. 2. From the side profile of the shoe, you can see the chunky Boost cushioning, as well as what appears to be James Harden's logo on the tongue. The early images also reveal a one piece bootie, knit material about the toe, a unique side panel lacing system, and an outsole that extends halfway up the back of the heel.

James Harden's first signature shoe, the Adidas Harden Vol. 1, was officially introduced last October, which leads us to believe the Harden Vol. 2 will be unveiled within the next few weeks if not sooner. Not to mention, Harden and the Houston Rockets will be in action for the NBA's opening night double-header on October 17th so the shoes should be fully revealed before then.

Check out the first images of what is rumored to be the Adidas Harden Vol. 2 below.

If that is the Adidas Harden Vol. 2, we expect to see a more Rockets-friendly colorway on his feet when they open up the season against the defending champs at Oracle Arena.

This off-season Houston acquired Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Darrun Hilliard, DeAndre Liggins, Kyle Wiltjer, a protected first-round pick next year and cash considerations. And adding 9x All-Star Chris Paul to a backcourt that already featured NBA MVP candidate James Harden might not be the only move the Rockets make before the start of the season however.

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has "mentally moved on to Houston," and his camp is hopeful that a deal will be struck over the weekend.
