Last week, Gucci Mane announced a new tape with Metro Boomin, which was teased to be dropping "asap." That was on May 4th, and as of today, the tape is nowhere in sight. Fans have been fiending for some new Guwop / Metro music, and one Twitter user shot a message at Gucci himself inquiring about the mixtape's status.
Gucci actually responded, comically placing the bulk of the blame on his producer.
While that may suggest a bit of a delay, Guwop follow that up with another tweet, which more or less echoed the initial announcement.
If we're really reading into it, Gucci's inclusion of "about" does suggest a sense of immediacy. Maybe, if we're lucky, the world will be blessed with some new Gucci / Metro music before the day wraps up. If not, we can always blame Metro.
